Ashraf Patna Writes About Karun Chandhok And His future in F1 with Campos Meta

India's Karun Chandhok is set to make his Formula 1 debut with the new Campos team this year.

The 26-year-old is understood to have secured his drive, and the deal will be announced imminently, sources say Chandhok, who raced in the GP2 feeder category last year, and A1 Gp for India is expected to be partnered by Brazilian Bruno Senna. The nephew of the late F1 legend Ayrton Senna signed for Campos last year and his manager has dismissed speculation that he could lose his seat.

Campos team boss Colin Kolles refused to confirm Senna's position when contacted on Thursday, saying only that the team's driver line-up would be announced "soon".But Senna's manager Chris Goodwin told BBC Sport: "There's no reason to think Bruno won't be part of it. It's clear as far as we're concerned. He signed a contract in October and he'll be in the car this season."Chandhok, who has won two GP2 races in three years in the category, will be the second Indian driver to compete in F1 after Narain Karthikeyan took part in 19 races for Jordan in 2005.His presence will be a fillip for F1 with an Indian Grand Prix expected to make its debut on the calendar in 2011.Chandhok was Senna's team-mate in the iSport team in 2008, when the Brazilian narrowly missed out on winning the GP2 championship.

Kolles has insisted that Campos will be in Bahrain for the first race of the season on 14 March after a winter of uncertainty over their fundingA management reshuffle earlier this month saw co-founder Jose Ramon Carabante take 100% ownership of the team and his partner Adrian Campos replaced as team principal by Kolles.Senna was announced as a driver last year but there has been speculation that the team could instead take the Argentine Jose Maria Lopez.Lopez has signed for fellow new team US F1, but they look almost certain not to race this year and his reputed £5.2m of sponsorship could be attractive for Campos. But if Senna is retained as a race driver, there could still be room for Lopez in the test and reserve role.

Narain Karthikeyan Spyker Vijay Mallya

As the reports started coming in media circle that Indian liquor Barron Vijay Mallya is going to Buy 50% Stake in Spyker f1 team the mercury in the Formula one scenario here in India is rising high. And for now the report is confirmed that this offer has been accepted by the board of Spyker Cars and exclusivity has been granted to the consortium Orange India Holdings to proceed with due diligence.to achieve completion within 30 days,? the partners said in a joint statement late on Friday.
As all of us Know that Spyker aka Midland(2006),aka Jordan before that has a long history of financial crisis.Jordan Grand Prix was a Formula One constructor that competed from 1991 to 2005. The team is named after Irish businessman and founder Eddie Jordan. In early 2005, the team was sold to Midland Group of Alex Schnaider a russian born Steel magnet, which competed for one final season as 'Jordan', before renaming the team as MF1 Racing for the 2006 season, before being sold again later in 2006 to Dutch car manufacturer Spyker.
Jordan Grand prix is known for producing and giving first platform for some of worlds greatest racing talents like Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barichello, Giancarlo Fisichella, Ralf Schumacher,Jarno Trulli. In fact First Indian Formula one Racer Narain Karthikeyan got his first chance in f1 in the same team. But Jordan deffinately dont have a good race record after all.It had only 4 race wins in total 250 races till 2005.And their very best constructor title came only in year 1999 with overall 3rd position. So one can bring result that how good Team Jordan was in Its formula racing days.
Nothing much have changed for Jordan errrr Spyker instead of their owners at a regular interval. And Now One more Name is coming And that is VIJAY MALLYA.Mallya is one of the most successfull Businessman out there And he is following the Formula one Scenario for quite some time Now he knows the realities about Spyker(Jordan). So he is well prepared for the challenges ahead. He is one of those first men in India who always wanted that India Should host a Grand prix Session. This initiative shows his determination towards it.
So what will we see next year after the 'Mallya factor' in Formula one? If everything goes well inside the team Williams who has aquired Narain Karthikeyan as its first Test Driver Narain will surely get a chance for running on Sundays.Nico Rosberg the first main driver of Williams is expected to move For Mclaren or Renault as the insiders if f1 guess. So if the politics of formula racing does not bother narain he is surely going to race for Williams next year.
At the present scenario Williams is the Number 4 or 5 at the ratings of formula one so Narain will never want to loose it.And surely Narain has got the Talent by which he can bring good results with a good car setup and expertise of Williams. So far Williams has more than 100 race wins in Formula one racing and several constructor titles too.So finally Narain Karthikeyan will not want to leave WILLIAMS F1 team. But if the situation does not go according to planning at last there will always be a racing seat for Narain karthikeyan waiting for him at the doorstep from Spyker(Jordan) and finally whatsever the name it gets from Mallya. If Narain gets a chance from Williams Which Indian will represent Spyker? Easily we can say that Karun Chandhok will fullfill it....Butttt i dont think so the first reason is that Karun has not enough Formula one racing or testing experience so he can get a test driver seat at Spyker and then after a year or later he can get a race ticket..So if Narain comes with Spyker or have a race seat or not but Karun SURELY and DEFFINATELY will have a test driver role next year and onwards for the Team Which Vijay Mallya acquires.....
